Tantric massage may be a bit of a mystery to you, but that is no reason to ignore it. You could be missing out on an amazing experience. But isn’t tantric massage all about sex? Well, no actually. It’s all about developing close relationships with ourselves, our partners and an energy in the universe. Sexual energy is one of the most potent energies that can open gateways to altered consciousness. It’s also a pretty good way to enjoy intimacy with a partner. And you get a massage thrown in for free – bet that got your attention!
Now this is about my personal views on Tantra and how I became interested in it as something to learn more about.
I became single a few years ago and realised that at 40 I knew nothing about women and dating and much of my life had been influenced by a Catholic upbringing and the limited knowledge of my parents and school. I found out for myself the hard way that perhaps everything I thought worked in meeting and building relationships that made logical sense just didn’t work. I realised that I had to change myself and my views and take on some new thinking as I was hitting a proverbial brick wall and the harder I tried what should work, the worse it got. Read more
The word Tantra means “to manifest, to expand, to show and to weave”. In this context, sex is thought to expand consciousness and to weave together the polarities of male (represented by the Hindu god, Shiva), and female (embodied by the Hindu goddess, Shakti), into a harmonious whole.
Although Tantra has long been practised in many eastern cultures, it is just beginning to flourish in the west. Born in India more than 6,000 years ago, tantra emerged as a rebellion against organised religion, which held that sexuality should be rejected in order to reach enlightenment. In its most authentic form, tantra prohibits male ejaculation as the sole objective of the man’s sexual experience. It believes that preoccupation with ejaculation (which many of us men are surely guilty of) wastes sexual energy and robs the woman of her potential for multiple orgasms. However, women may ( and are encouraged to) ejaculate through tantric techniques.
Couples need not adopt the Tantric pantheon in order to benefit from the sexual wisdom of this ancient art. Tantric sexual practices teach us to prolong the act of making love and to utilize potent orgasmic energies more effectively.
How is tantric sex done? The following will show how sex for both can be more than average, and less than selfish.

Tantric massage Therapy is a special massage that arouses your spiritual life force while soothing your body and senses. It is a celebration of your whole being and will encourage you to completely relax, and will help you to master your sexual skills.
During a tantric massage therapy session, I work with the chakras, which are the energy centres of the body, and which ideally should be balanced. However, the reason why many of my clients come to me for tantric massage is that there is an imbalance in these energy centres, which means that not all the chakras are working at the same level.
By giving his woman Tantric massage, a man can achieve what men almost never achieve even if they are skilled at all the female sitmulation tricks these days. Woman’s sexuality needs relaxation and gradual whole body expansion of arousal and that almost never happens. There is nothing out there that can compare with a well-performed Tantric massage to get a woman to relax to you completely, to arouse her completely, to open her heart to you, and to open her maximum sexual potential, including her capacity for orgasms and frequent love-making. A Tantric massage is simply the best thing you could do for a woman.
Can a Man Really Become Multi-Orgasmic? During my 5 years practicing of tantric massag, I get asked this question a lot. For the record, the answer is Ohhhh Yes!!! From the tantric perspective, orgasm is not a goal or completion of sex, but rather an aroused physical and emotional state that literally can be experienced throughout one’s entire being. The longer one lingers in this aroused state of excitement, the more energy and life force they can absorb and radiate. A man may have multiple orgasms without ejaculating and yet actually feel energized in the afterglow. As a woman, I can only tell you that it’s extraordinarily satisfying to be with a man who can continue to ride wave upon wave of pleasure with me. It creates a deeper and profound feeling of union.
Tantra is a spiritual path and a path of sacred sexuality, whereby you come to experience the union of your sexual and spiritual energies. In so doing, you experience the divinity in yourself, your partner and in all of existence. Tantra is concerned with the transformation of energy. It directs us to transform our life-force energy and sexual energy into spiritual energy for the purpose of spiritual enhancement and enlightenment. Within the context of Tantra, sexual relationships and experiences are grist for the mill of our spiritual advancement – which includes creating a bond of sacred love with our partner.
Tantra is an ancient tradition with its roots in Hinduism and Buddhism. It came to America and the west, pioneered in a new form, known as Neo- Tantra. Its resurgence can be attributed mainly to the enlightened Tantric master Osho Rajneesh and his disciples – although others, such as the kria-yoga Tantricas played a crucial role too. Osho Rajneesh underplayed the emphasis on mantras, positions and ritual and placed it on spiritual consciousness, and a unique combination of meditation, non-attachment, risk-taking, wildness and spontaneity. The issue was to go deep, find your true core and express it in its fullness – both in life and in your sexuality.
Some people define Tantra as a cult with a spirit of free love, the remains of the psychedelic era of the sixties. Others think of Tantra as a spiritual form of New Age sex therapy, something out of the 1990s pop culture of California. Tantra was very widespread in India from 320 to 650 AD, even flourishing. However the Western world of the modern era has only recently discovered and revived the practice, reinterpreting it as the traditional Buddhist and Indian practices, but in a New Age version, which is being called “Neotantra.”
Definition of Tantra
“Tantra” is derived from Sanskrit, an ancient Hindu language. The rough translation is “to weave energy” or “web.” It describes a system of being directed at bringing together the contradictory aspects of ourselves, like femininity and masculinity, light and dark. Tantric practices are meant to bring together our opposing forces, hastening our journey to spiritual enlightenment. Such practices include meditation, yoga, holistic health, Ayurvedic medicine, deity worship, plus a spiritual full-bodied involvement in sex.
